"Michael Kors, mad? Only for Mad Men. Last night, the dapper designer (and television star) hosted an exclusive private screening for the season premiere of the hit AMC show's second season at the Bryant Park Hotel .. As Kors embraced the likes of Joanna Coles, Joe Zee, Anamaria Wilson, Amanda Ross, Craig Woodward, Cindy Weber Cleary and André Leon Talley, he attempted to identify that Mad Men character he relates to most. 'Not Don Draper!' Kors laughed, as (Jon) Hamm winked from across the room."I'd like to be, but I'm not. I'm nicer than all the guys on the show, but in a strange way, if I had to pick one, it'd be Peggy. Secretly sexy, secretly smart.'" (Fashionweekdaily)

"ELIOT Spitzer being greeted with snickers and smirks at the David Barton Gym on the Upper East Side, then leaving without ever taking off those infamous black socks. " (PageSix)

"Yesterday was Rufus’ 43rd birthday – hence the party – it was also a farewell party for Rufus who has been living here for the past several years and is returning to England and his wife Sally and his five-year-old son Augustus. Vanessa von Bismarck and Nadine Johnson hosted the party for their friend who in the UK is also known as the 10th Earl of Albemarle ... In the crowd last night I saw Ann Jones (mom of Samantha Ronson) .. Gigi and Avy Mortimer .. Frederic Fekkai, Euan Rellie (Lucy was home with the little ones and watching 'Mad Men'), Doug Hannant and Fred Anderson, Anthony Haden-Guest who spends most of his time in London now .." "The hit of Murray Hill's recent Miss Lez pageant, which I graciously judged, was a group of sapphic cross-dressing entertainers called Switch N' Play .. these kids are gender-liciously good and much hotter—and more masculine—than the reunited New Kids on the Block." (Musto)

"Last night's screening of Brideshead Revisited, hosted by Andrew Saffir's Cinema Society & Victorinox, reminded the stylish that those glory days of cocktail-heavy afternoons spent on outrageous estates are effectively over. (Well...come fall, anyway.) .. After the screening, the crew decamped to the Gramercy Park Hotel's notorious roofdeck. Muching on risotto, steak, and mini tiramisu: ..Amy Sacco, Hamish Bowles, Nicole Miller .. Rufus Albemarle, Elizabeth Saltzman .. Julianne Nicholson, whose husband Jonathan Cake appears in the film, was duly wowed by the Castle, which she visited during filming. She reminisced about similarly awe-inspiring homes. 'In 1990, I was at Liberace's apartment, which was amazing...and this is going to sound tacky, but I got married at Sting and Trudie's house in Italy, and that was one of the most amazing, beautiful, opulent places I've ever seen. But I don't want to drop names!'" (Fashionweekdaily)

"I had never seen Public Enemy in concert. I had met Flavor Flav before though. He came to my recording studio a few times over the past few years. He does wear a clock, all the time. He does shout his name, all the time. And he is hype, all the time." (Papermag)

"There’s another apartment for sale at 740 Park, currently hidden behind a black shroud (anyone know why? please e-mail me!). Peter Huang, a Chinese-born investment banker whose ex-wife Nancy once shook up the house by inviting the likes of Chic’s Nile Rodgers, Kid Creole and Fab Five Freddie to party there (earning herself a nasty divorce), has listed apartment 4-5D for a whopping $38 million (maintenance is $10,574 a month)."
