Bryce Dallas Howard: Maxim Readers Wouldn't Be Interested In Me

Howard Stern's friendly interview with Ron Howard last week may have got him into his Hollywood inner circle. Bryce Dallas Howard, someone this blogger NEVER expected to hear on The Howard Stern Show (Condoleeza Rice would be another) came in and actually had a fairly good session. Powerful women tend to eschew the adolescent -- but funny -- lockerroom attitude that prevails on the Stern show. From HowardStern:

"Ron Howard’s daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard, stopped by to promote 'Terminator: Salvation' and cited her parents as great role models. Howard asked if, like her dad, she's only had sex with her spouse, but Bryce would only half-confirm it: 'You could say that...it's a blessing.' Bryce did say though that she wasn't too old fashioned - she found out she was 3 months pregnant just 7 days after her wedding: 'So that answers that question.'

"Howard asked Bryce about Christian Bale's now-infamous blow-up on the set of 'Terminator: Salvation,' so she explained: 'Everyone heard the content but they didn't hear the context and it was a really intense scene...and we were riling ourselves up for that scene...Christian apologized that day and then again after the tape was leaked."

"Bryce told the crew that her mother gave her a very clinical sex instruction video when she was in college, adding that she was shocked by even the most sterile sex positions: "I thought, 'That was really unpleasant' or 'That was just athletic.'

"Howard and Artie wondered why Bryce had never posed for a Maxim-type magazine to further her career, so she explained: 'I don't feel like Maxim readers would be interested in me.'"

A very politic answer. More here.
